The US Under 20s played to a scoreless draws with Honduras in their second group game in U20 World Cup qualifying. Honduras needed a win and came out the aggressors forcing American goalkeeper Brian Perk into several quality saves over the course of the match. On the other end, the US Under 20s were able to generate four shots, but none were on frame. Honduras logged four shots on goal in the match.
With the draw the Americans sit atop Group A on four points. Jamaica won the earlier game 2-1 over El Salvador playing with only 9 men after red cards in the first half. El Salvador played with 10 after their own sendoff. Jamaica sits 2nd on three points, Honduras 3rd on two points and El Salvador on one point.
The US faces El Salvador on Tuesday to close group play. The top two in each group advance to the Under 20 World Cup later in the year. The US Under 20s are virtually into the U20 World Cup. The scenarios:

The only scenario where the US does not qualify is if they lose to El Salvador by 2+ goals and there is no draw in the Jamaica/Honduras match.
