Group play finished up last night and the Round of 16 is set at the 2007 Under 17 World Cup.  Thanks to a 2-0 win over Belgium last night the US team climbed to 2nd in their final group standing setting up a match with Germany.

Here are the Round of 16 matches:

Spain - Korea DPR
Tunisia - France
Peru - Tajikistan
Ghana - Brazil

Argentina - Costa Rica
Nigeria - Columbia
England - Syria
USA - Germany

The top bracket games will be played August 29th while the bottom bracket will play August 30th.  The US defeated Germany last month 3-1 in a tuneup in Germany.  If the US can get by the Germans an enticing matchup with England could wait.
