The spending spree continues at Manchester City as they throw money around in crazy fashion. This time they grabbed defender Kolo Toure from Arsenal for a deal valued at around £16m. City is becoming like the New York Yankees as they fling money around to the distress of the game and the market. The only question is can Manchester City win? Soccer isn't like the individual game of baseball. It is the ultimate team sport and it has often been demonstrated that a cohesive team will defeat the individual stars.
Kolo Toure signed a 4 year deal with Manchester City leaving Arsenal. The two sides agreed upon a transfer fee of about £16m. The Ivory Coast star joined Arsenal in 2002 and has been a vital part of the Gunners' backline since his arrival.
Manchester City opens EPL play on Saturday August 15th on the road to Blackburn at Ewood Park and then open their home schedule the following week with Wolverhampton.
