Harry Redknapp worked his magic at halftime as Tottenham rallied from a 2-0 deficit to score three goals and win 3-2 at the Emirates taking the North London Derby Saturday. The first half was all Arsenal as the home side raced out to a two goal lead in the opening half hour. Goals from Samir Nasri and Chamakh staked Arsenal control and it very well could have been worse. The match went 2-0 to the half with the home side looking very comfortable.
That's where Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp worked his magic and Tottenham emerged from the dressing room ready to rally. It took only five minutes for Tottenham to get on the board as Rafael Van Der Vaart found a steaking Gareth Bale to fire home. Tottenham had their tails up now and Arsenal were in for trouble.
In the 67th it was Rafael Van Der Vaart again. This time he fired a free kick from 25 yards out at the Arsenal net. The ball was heading just over the wall but an Arsenal player raised his arm blocking the ball. Referee Phil Dowd immediately pointed to the spot and Van Der Vaart would knock home the penalty kick. The match was tied and Arsenal were getting increasingly frustrated.
The rally would be complete in the 85th. Van der Vaart fired a long freekick into the Arsenal area where Younes Kaboul used his head to flick it into the Arsenal goal. Tottenham celebrated while Arsen Wenger could only throw his water bottle. A historic rally for Tottenham and a real message sent that they are to be reckoned with.
