Swansea upset Arsenal 3-2

Swansea upset Arsenal 3-2
It will be a day long remembered by Swansea fans as they grabbed a monumental scalp against a squad they had not beaten in over three decades.  Arsenal crashed and Swansea grabbed three points that make the newly promoted side look quite safe in the quest to stay up.

Arsenal got the good start they hoped for on the road as Robin van Persie scored another goal in what has become a career year.  The lead only lasted ten minutes as Swansea got the match tied via spotkick.  Nathan Dyer made the most of slight contact from Aaron Ramsey to draw the penalty which Scott Sinclair kocked home.  The match would go to halftime 1-1, but momentum was clearly on Swansea's side.

Arsenal set about trying to change that in the opening minutes of the second half.  Theo Walcott, who had been miserable in the opening 45 started brightly.  Both Walcott and Arshavin fired over and were left shaking their heads over the misses.  Swansea made them pay for the misses taking the lead in 57th minute.  Nathan Dyer scored despite a bad first touch and Swansea looked to be on their way.

The visitors were not going to go quietly though.  Thierry Henry entered the game and just minutes later Arsenal were even as Walcott chipped home.  The 2-2 score was to be short-lived as Swansea grabbed the lead right back within a minute!

Danny Graham was the hero as he scored from a tight angle. In the end, the better team won.  The 3-2 loss continued Arsenal's poor road form of four losses in five.
