A massive snowstorm has swept across England and decimated the English Premier League schedule for the weekend. Four of the six Saturday matches have been postponed due to snow and cold conditions. Liverpool has seen almost two feet of snow!
Sunderland were able to get their match in against Bolton at the Stadium of Light and a first half goal from Danny Welbeck held up along with some spectacular goalkeeping from Craig Gordon for a 1-0 victory. Bolton were flat all afternoon before putting forth a surge at the finish.
The West Ham - Blackburn is also playing at a cold cold Ewood Park.
Liverpool-Fulham, Arsenal v Stoke, Wigan-Aston Villa and Newcastle v Birmingham have all been called off. Sundays matches have been altered as well. The huge Chelsea-Manchester United clash has been wiped out as well.
Monday's Manchester City against Everton match is questionable at this point with the hopes the weather will be better in a couple of days and the game can be played. Also Sunday's West Ham-Wolves match has yet to be called off as well in hopes it can be played.
