Dallas Cup XXX semifinals set

The group stages of Dallas Cup XXX are complete and the semifinals are set for Friday evening at Pizza Hut Park.  AC Milan crashed out in the group stages, but the big boys Manchester City, Eintracht Frankfurt and Sao Paolo all advanced.

The marquee matchup Friday is the late game which pits Manchester City against Sao Paolo FC of Brazil in what should be a wonderful game.  Man City cruised through group play winning a tight game with Tigres of Mexico and blasting AC Milan and Toronto FC.  Sao Paolo won their first two matches before having to rally to tie Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday afternoon.

The other Dallas Cup XXX semifinal will have Eintracht Frankfurt against the surprising Vancouver Whitecaps of Canada.   Vancouver rolled to three wins in the group stages including an impressive win over River Plate from Argentina.  The championship match is Sunday evening at Pizza Hut Park.
