Today marked National Signing Day in which the top club soccer players from around the nation made their college choice for the next few years.  Traditional ACC powers were expected to sign their regular haul of talent, but with the talent pool growing fast in the US many colleges are able to find gems.  Check back regularly to Soccermogul as we update our 2008 College Soccer Signings list.

Conference USA schools Tulsa and South Carolina announced solid classes today.  Tulsa signed 4 solid players including stud transfer Jonathan Medcalf, a transfer from Providence that scored 13 goals in the Big East.  South Carolina added a great 8 member class to go along with a good freshman group already on campus.  The Gamecocks signed 3 of the top 25 players in the nation according to Rise Magazine.

Major players from the US U17 residency program signing are Brendan King to Notre Dame, Mykel Bates to Santa Clara, and Dan Wenzel to Wake Forest.  Indiana rounded up a solid group from club power Scott Gallagher which included the highly acclaimed Will Bruin.   U18 US National Team studs Casey Townsend is heading to Maryland while Chris Agorsor goes to rival Virginia along with US U18 Hunter Jumper. Solar 90 star Kaoru Forbes is also heading to Maryland.  Meanwhile, national power SMU stayed in town with the signings of 4 from Dallas Texans which included the highly recruited Brian Farkas and Arturo Ivo.
