The Olympic Womens Soccer quarterfinal matchups are set for the Beijing Olympics and some wonderful games are on tap. Pairings were altered some when the United States smashed New Zealand and Norway surprisingly fell flat against Japan. Japan's huge win earned it a wildcard spot in the quarterfinals. Canada grabbed the other wildcard and gets rewarded by having to face rivals USA.
On one side of the bracket is Brazil v Norway and Sweden v Germany. We could very well see a semifinal rematch of Brazil-Germany which ended in a 0-0 draw to open the tournament. On the other side of the bracket is China v Japan and USA v Canada. This could lead to a very juicy USA-China semifinal. Quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Friday.
