Group play is complete and the quarterfinals are set for the Beijing Olympics mens soccer. A wild finish in group b saw Holland and Nigeria advance and a red card costing the US a place in the quarterfinals. Otherwise, group favorites took care of the other three flights as Argentina, Brazil and Italy all won their groups. Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Belgium all grabbed runnerup spots.
A couple of very attractive games await in the quarterfinal round. A massive African clash between Ivory Coast and Nigeria as well as a Holland-Argentina tilt are on tap for Saturday. The other two quarters are Brazil-Cameroon and Italy-Belgium.
The stage is set for a semifinal matchup of South American powers Brazil and Argentina if both can win the quarterfinal matches.
