Goals on either side of halftime from Samuel Eto'o and Achille Webo were all the Indomintable Lions needed to book passage.
Nigeria claimed Africa Group B coming from behind in Kenya to win 3-2. Heading into the day Tunisia controlled the group, but choked in Mozambique losing 1-0. Obafemi Martins came off he bench to score twice (the winner in the 83rd) and propel Nigeria to the World Cup.
A record crowd cheered on New Zealand to a 1-0 win over Bahrain and claim their first World Cup appearance since 1982. Rory Fallon headed home the winner just before halftime and keeper Mark Paston saved a penalty to preserve the lead.
