North Carolina won their final two ACC contests over NC State and Boston College to claim the ACC regular season soccer title. The team heas into the ACC Tournament with a 14-2-2 overall record and 5-1-2 in ACC play.
Maryland ran circles around Wake Forest Thursday evening firing a ridiculous 35 shots and earning 18 corner kicks. The final result though was a 1-1 draw as Wake Forest keeper Michael Lisch notched 13 saves. The draw moves Maryland into 2nd place while the point left Wake in a three way tie for third with Virginia and Duke.
UNC clinched the regular seasons title with a 2-0 win over Boston College over Wednesday evening. A pair of second half goals provided the margin of victory. Billy Schuler claimed his 13th goal of the season in the win. North Carolina enter the ACC Tournament as the top seed and will face the winner of the North Carolina State-Virginia Tech match Tuesday night.
