So who is the hottest team in the English Premier League right now? Arsenal? Chelsea? Manchester United? Nope. Newcastle!
Newcastle is flying along and have grabbed a firm hold on the 4th position and a probable Champions League spot for next year. While Chelsea and Tottenham have drifted, Newcastle have been zipping along winning six straight matches.
The new signing of Papiss Cisse has energized the squad and along with Demba Ba and the classy Hatem Ben Arfa, the Newcastle attack is in fine form. At the other end, keeper Tim Krul has been wonderful as has a defense led by Fabricio Coloccini.
Saturday it was Stoke that met their wrath as Newcastle ran out easy 3-0 winners behind a Cisse goal and a pair from Yohan Cabaye. The schedule gets more difficult though as a tricky visit to a suddenly hot Wigan side is followed by matches with Chelsea and Manchester City.
