The opening round of the 2008 NCAA Mens Soccer Tournament is in the books and several nail-biters were the story of the opening round. There were 3 penalty shootouts, 1 match decided in overtime and St Louis scored their winning goal with only 4 seconds to play. The big upsets of the first round were UNC Greensboro winning at Duke and Jacksonville knocking off Louisville in overtime.
