Tottenham was the latest to make a splash when they finalized the double signings of Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea and Pascal Chimbonda from Sunderland. Cudicini had an expiring contract at Chelsea and was given an 18 month contract by Tottenham. Chimboda left Tottenham last summer for Sunderland, but was never able to settle there.
