FC Dallas continued their red hot play as they used a second half goal from Marvin Chavez to get past the slumping New England Revolution Saturday night. The win moves FCD even closer to the LA Galaxy who could only manage a draw with DC United. The gap at the top of the MLS Western Conference is down to 5 points with Dallas having two games in hand still.
The surprise Eastern Conference leading Philadelphia Union earned a solid road point with a draw at the Colorado Rapids who have wracked up a disappointing 7 draws in their 14 matches this season. The Union hold a 2 point advantage over the NY Red Bulls who also tied on the night.
The Vancouver Whitecaps still look like they barely belong in the MLS as they slumped to another loss. This time falling to Real Salt Lake 2-0. The Whitecaps have only a single win to show from their 14 games.
Two MLS games ended in scoreless draws. Seattle earned a road point at Chicago while roadwarriors Sporting KC also got a point at Toronto.
