Juan Pablo Angel fired his second goal of the night from he spot near time to bring New York back for a 3-3 draw with Kansas City. The Colombia star, who has tied Eddie Johnson for the league scoring lead with nine goals, started the evening off with a sixth minute strike. Clint Mathis doubled on the quarter hour, but Kerry Zavagnin balsted home ahead of the break to get the Wizards started. Yura Movsisyan hopped off the visitors bench to tally on 70 and 79 minutes, setting the stage for Angel's capper.
Alejandro Moreno scored with five minutes to play as Columbus completed a two-goal comeback to earn a 3-3 share at New England on Saturday afternoon. Robbie Rogers opened in the ninth minute with his first MLS goal, but an Adam Cristman double sandwiched around a Pat Noon strike had the hosts up a pair by the 32nd minute. Guillermo Barros Schelotto netted in first half stoppahe time, then set up Moreno's equalizer in the late going.
D.C. United scored a comprehensive 3-1 victory over struggling rivals Chicago, with Luciano Emilio bagging a brace. Rod Dyachenko put the hosts up early, with Jerson Monteiro opening his Fire account with a second half marker.
Carl Robinson bagged his first MLS goal and two assists as Toronto FC scored their biggest win to date, smashing West leaders FC Dallas 4-0 at the BMO on Sunday afternoon. Danny Dichio sparked Maurice Edu's opener and scored his fourth in quick succesion before leaving at the break with an ankle knock. Robinson connected on 65 minutes and Jeff Cunningham added a final blow in stoppage time.
Later, Edson Buddle and Nate Jaqua each scored his first Galaxy goal as Los Angeles escaped the Western cellar by topping Real Salt Lake 3-2. Cobi Jones also netted for the victors, while Abel Xavier picked up an assist in his MLS debut. Chris Brown scored both goals for Real Salt Lake.
