All those early season ties that had Manchester United fans screaming seem to have not been so bad afterall. Thanks to a poor run of play from Chelsea and Manchester United's 7-1 thrashing of Blackburn, Man U now lead the English Premier League by two points over Chelsea and Arsenal. Dimitar Berbatov was the hero on the weekend as he became only the third player of the modern era to notch five goals in a single EPL match.
Meanwhile, Chelsea were languishing once again. Scoring stud Didier Drogba has gone cold and Chelsea have suffered. They were able to end their losing streak, but were only able to manage a draw with Newcastle. Arsenal moved even with Chelsea on 29 points when they took care of Aston Villa 4-2 on Saturday.
Wigan, Wolves and West Ham sit in the relegation zone with Fulham and disappointing Everton sitting just above the safe line.
