Manchester City pushed on in their pursuit of Inter Milan star Kaka with a massive $197 million bid for his rights. Man City would pay the Brazilian almost $20 million per season to play in the English Premier League. Even though Kaka expressed his intent to remain with the Serie A side a couple of days ago, this latest offer just might be too huge to turn down...both for Kaka and Inter Milan. Inter has an aging roster and the monster transfer fee would give them the funds to completely rebuild the roster and bring in some younger stars.
Inter has given permission for Manchester City to talk to Kaka and his representatives. The EPL side is sending a clear message that they are intent on becoming major players on the European and world stage going forward. Currently, the squad is languishing in the EPL standings, but with money to spend, new players could help salvage the season.
