Can Manchester City win the EPL title this year?

Can Manchester City win the EPL title this year?
Can Manchester City win the EPL title this year?

With all their millions and all their purchases are Manchester City serious contenders for the English Premier League title this year?  Here are Soccermogul's arguments for both sides:

Yes they are!
They currently sit 2nd in the EPL standings only two points off of Manchester United.  To say they aren't contenders would be silly at best.  There is plenty of talent on hand.  Carlos Tevez, Balotelli, Adebayor, Jo up top.  Gareth Barry, Toure, Silva, Milner in the midfield.  A wonderful goalkeeper in Joe Hart.  The talent is there to take the title.

Manchester City can be absolutely dominant at times as seen by their last two outings 4-0 over Aston Villa and 3-1 over Newcastle.  We will know soon enough as they have away matches at Arsenal and Manchester United in the next six weeks.

No they aren't!
I know Manchester City currently sits 2nd in the standings.  I know about all their talent and the probability of purchases in the upcoming transfer window.  All the talent in the world won't win a championship if they can't get along.  Drama follows this team everywhere they go.  Carlos Tevez can't go a month without pouting about something.  Who knows what Balotelli will say next.  Adebayor is clearly unsettled.  Teams win championships.  This is a collection of talent, not a team.

The other problem I see is a killer second half EPL schedule.  Road matches at Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all await.  To win the title they'll need at least six points and I don't think they can get that.
