Kaka Rejects $150 Million from Man City

Kaka has rejected the mammoth offer of $150 million for the Brazilian superstar saying he wants to grow old at his current club AC Milan.  The offer would have made Kaka the highest paid player in the world, but Kaka was quick to pledge his loyalty to AC Milan after rejecting the offer.

"I want to grow old at Milan," he told Italian media. "My aim in the future is to become the captain of this team. I know there is a hierarchy and ahead of me there are (current captain Paolo) Maldini and (Massimo) Ambrosini, but after that..."

Manchester City currently sit only two points clear of the dreaded relegation zone in the English Premier League.  Big money moves have been expected form the club during the transfer window as they try to bring big names into the side.

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo commented that he was comfortable staying with Manchester United long term.  He has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid.  "I know it will be hard but I want to achieve even more things with these great players we have at United.  We can dominate. Manchester has a lot of young players, myself included, so the future for the club looks good. I want to be here, to be a part of the success that I believe lies ahead."
