Inter Milan closed out the 2009-2010 Champions League in style taking the Champions League final convincingly 2-0 over Bayern Munich behind a pair of goals from Diego Milito. Outspoken coach Jose Mourinho once again showed he is in a league of his own as Inter took down Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich on their way to the title.
Diego Milito struck in the 34th and 70th minutes as Inter became the first Italian team to win the treble of league, cup and European Cup in the same season. It ended a 45 year drought for Inter and marks their third European title. It also probably marks the end of Jose Mourinho's time in Italy as he is expected to move on. Most likely to take the reigns of Real Madrid for next season. Mourinho becomes only the third coach ever to win the title with different clubs.
After the game Mourinho stated "My work is done, I want to win the Champions League with three clubs," Mourinho, who also won the competition with FC Porto, told RAI. "I feel great sadness at possibly leaving, but in my professional life I try to be as cold as possible to find what I need to do next."
The opening goal was set up by a long punt from Julio Cesar. Milito headed the ball down to Wesley Sneijder who played back to Milito behind the Bayern defense. Milito ran on and rifled home the opener. Diego Milito would put the game away in the 70th minute as he put wonderful move before finishing.
