Houston Dynamo punish undisciplined FC Dallas

Houston Dynamo punish undisciplined FC Dallas
When it rains it pours.  Seems FC Dallas are causing their own storms though.  It is hard to decide which is more to blame for the disastrous FC Dallas season so far.  Is it the rash of injuries or the rash of undisciplined play?

I am of the feeling the undisciplined play is costing the team more than the injuries.  Despite the missing starters, FC Dallas is losing games that they are clearly in due to nothing more than stupid plays.

Tonight was no different in a battle with rivals Houston Dynamo.  FC Dallas was missing starters Ugo Ihemelu, George John, David Ferreira, Brek Shea and Blaz Perez.  But after giving up an early goal the team fought back to tie the match.

On the opening goal Dallas defender Hernan Pertuz attempted to poke the ball away from Houston attacker Will Bruin.  The ball defelcted off Bruin's shin and past Kevin Hartman into the FC Dallas goal.  Credit to FCD though as they fought back.

In the second half Dallas got the match tied as Jackson was rewarded for his stellar play.  Then came the regular lack of discipline that would cost the team the game.

With the ball on the other side of the field, Jair Benitez elbowed/struck Colin Clarke.  The linesman saw the incident and Benitez saw straight red leaving FCD with ten men.

Houston would capitalize within minutes.  On a corner kick Kevin Hartman raced off his line, but failed to deal with the ball which fell to Adam Moffat who fired into the far corner of the goal.  That proved to be the winner and the FC Dallas winless streak has now reached ten matches.
