Gold Cup 2009 quarterfinals set
The group stages are all finished and the quarterfinals are all set for the 2009 Gold Cup.  The big boys are all through as Mexico, USA and Costa Rica all advanced.  Canada also looked particularly strong in winning Group A.

The US will face Panama next weekend in one quarterfinal match in Philadelphia.  Panama finished strong after losing their opening match to Guadaloupe coming back to tie Mexico and beat Nicaragua 4-0 to close group play.  The other Philly quarterfinal will be an attractive game between Canada and Honduras.

Mexico will play Haiti at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas as part of a doubleheader.  The other Dallas game will pit Costa Rica against Guadaloupe who notched impressive wins over Panama and Nicarauga in the opening round.
