Danny Dichio returned from injury to score a stoppage time equalizer as Toronto FC rallied for a 2-2 home draw with New England on Saturday afternoon. Michael Parkhurst netted seconds before the break and Taylor Twellman just after as the Revs opened up a 2-0 lead. However, Collin Samuel sliced the lead in half at the hour, setting up Dichio's heroics. The target man powered home a last gasp volley to earn the expansion team a closing day share.
Elsewhere, Columbus took out their frustrations over missing the postseason by upending Supporters Shield winner D.C. United at RFK. Robbie Rogers and Alejandro Moreno scored midway through each period to put the Crew up a pair, but Christian Gomez pulled one back in the 89th minute. Rogers added his second early in stoppage time, which was fortuitous as Gomez grabbed another from the spot in the 93rd minute.
Kansas City move into the postseason on the heels of a 2-0 win at FC Dallas. Scott Sealy struck once in each half to secure the points. A sellout crowd at Pizza Hut Park watched Kansas City dominate a lackluster Dallas side who sat Denilson, Carlos Ruiz, Bobby Rhine, Chris Gbandi and Dominic Oduro out of the starting lineup.
Real Salt Lake bid farewell to retiring defender Eddie Pope by claiming a 1-0 win at Real Salt Lake. Robbie Findley tallied with four minutes left to give the visitors the Rocky Mountain Challenge Cup.
Sunday shows the LA Galaxy fighting it out at Chicago for a playoff berth.
