The English Premier League transfer window closed with a flurry as Arsenal finally landed Russian star Andrei Arshavin ending weeks of chasing and drama. The other big news is Robbie Keane leaving Liverpool and heading back to Tottenham.
Keane never really settled at Liverpool as he was unable to produce goals on a regular basis for the club. His playing time decreased regularly over the last few weeks and it was apparent he was on the outs. Keane looks to get an immediate opportunity to make an impact after Tottenham lost Jermain Defoe to injury last week.
Arsenal finally landed Russian star Andrei Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg ending weeks of chasing and drama. The deal is believed to be near $24 million US. It is unclear when Arshavin will make his debut for the Gunners as he has received no real playing time since November and will need time to adjust and get fit.
Bolton midfielder Kevin Nolan has been sold to Newcastle in a deal worth £4million. Nolan was surprised by the move, but looks forward to making an impact at Newcastle.
