Drogba and Balotelli on the move

Drogba and Balotelli on the move
With the end of the transfer window approaching fast some bigger names are starting to make their moves.  Most notably former Chelsea man Didier Drogba and troubled Man City striker Mario Balotelli.

Oh how the mighty Drogba has slipped.  Skipping out of Chelsea for nothing more than riches he headed off to the depths of world soccer to play in China.  That experiment did not last long though as the powerful striker is now on the move again.

Drogba is playing with Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, but will join Turkish giants Galatasaray after.  It finishes off a whirlwind week for Galatasaray as in addition to Didier they also pried Wesley Sneijder away from Inter Milan.

The deal with the 34 year old Drogba is for 18 months.  Galatasaray will face German side Schalke in the next round of Champions League play next month.

"The opportunity to play for this great club was an offer that I could not turn down, Drogba said through his representatives, Sports PR Company, on Twitter. "I am looking forward to playing in the Champions League again, against the best clubs in Europe."

Also on the move is the controversial Mario Balotelli.  Known much more for his antics than his actual soccer talents the move could be good for Mario. He had clearly worn out his welcome at Manchester City where he was given plenty of opportunity.  It seems those opportunities were rewarded with childish and unprofessional behavior.

The change will hopefully see a maturing Balotelli as he moves back to his home Italy to play for powerful AC Milan.  The talent has never been in question with Mario, it's just how he carries himself and his childish antics that turn most off.
