American star Landon Donovan confirmed his impact at Everton and the English Premier League as he was named the Everton player of the month for January. It is quite an achievement considering it came in his first month in England and via performances against monster clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
"It's a privilege to receive the recognition, as it comes from the supporters," Donovan said.
Everton is 5-1-1 since Landon Donovan's arrival and fans are dreading the date March 15th when his loan runs out. He will then return to MLS and the Los Angeles Galaxy for the upcoming MLS season. The Galaxy opens March 27th against the New England Revolution. The only question mark in proceedings is the ongoing labor negotiations between the players union and MLS that could impact the start of the MLS season.
