FC Dallas rolled to another convincing victory in day two of Dallas Cup XXXII Super Group play. Yesterday it was Barcelona going down 3-1 to FC Dallas, today the victim was CS Cartagines of Costa Rica washing out 3-0. The two wins leave FC Dallas in complete control of Group B with one matchday left. FC Dallas will face the Japan U18 National Team which fell to Barcelona today.
Arsenal has an even tighter stranglehold on Group A as they cruised to a 6-0 victory against Chorillo FC of Panama. It leaves Arsenal on 6 points with a whopping +10 goal differential. They'll face Club Bolivar on Wednesday with a chance to rest some starters ahead of Friday's semifinals. The Dallas Texans bounced back from yesterday's loss to Arsenal with a 1-0 win against Club Bolivar.
Group C will be decided on Wednesday night inside the stadium at Pizza Hut Park when Tigres faces off against SC Corinthians from Brazil. Tigres is on 6 points with a +4 differential. Corinthians can take the group with a win as they'll take the tie breaker. Tigres only needs a draw on the night.The Vancouver Whitecaps are not out of the picture either, but will need a multigoal win over Real Salt Lake to get into contention.
Group D will also be decided on Wednesday as the two unbeatens in the group will meet. Eintracht Frankfurt faces Cortiba FC from Brazil Wednesday 2:00 on Pizza Hut Park field 7. The Germans have a better goal differential and will advance to Friday's semifinals with a draw.
