Dallas Cup Wednesday notes

After having Tuesday washed out Dallas Cup XXIX got back underway on Wednesday as teams continued to fight it out for berths in the knockout rounds.  Liverpool continued their dominant play routing Japanes side Ryutsu Keizai Kashiwa 9-0.

Super Group --
Liverpool rolled on with a 9-0 blasting of Japanese side Ryutsu Keizai Kashiwa 9-0 to capture Group B while Tigres claimed the wildcard with a 6-0 win over Bosnian side FC Slavija.  In Group A play, last years champions Sao Paolo ended an unimpressive tourney with a 3-1 loss to Leicester City.  CF Monterrey took the group after a 2-2 draw with Andromeda.  Benfica had already clinched Group C before Wednesday play.  The semifinals on Friday have a Mexican showdown between Tigres and CF Monterrey in one game and Liverpool facing Benfica of Portugal in the other game.

Under 19 --
With one more day to play several of the groups are still wide open.  In Group E Westside Metros Gunners from Oregon will face IMG Academy.  The winner takes the group while a tie will see Texas Heat beat both on goal differential.  Solar SC has won Group D and Dallas Texans has won Group C already.  In Group B Houston Dynamo need a win or draw in their Thursday match with HPFC Heat while Heat could still win the group but needs a convincing win.  In Group A South Coast Bayern only needs a draw with Shattuck St Mary's who will advance with a win.

Under 17 --
Mexican sides Tigres and CF Monterrey have won Groups A & B respectively. All the other groups are still in play going into Thursday play.   Lonestar is in good shape in Group E while Shattuck St Mary's can take Group D with a win.   Dallas Texans will take Group C unless Veirinigung Blast win their game by 7 goals.    In Group F Sockers FC and Tulsa SC will duke it out for the group title.

Under 16 --
In Group A Texans FC of Houston and West Coast FC will play on Thursday with the winner taking the group.  A draw will see Ayses of Dallas win the group.  River Plate of Dallas has won Group B.   In Group C Rampage Blue from California wins the group with a win or draw with Super Eagles from Minnesota.  The Super Eagles take the group if they win.  FC Barcelona needs a convincing win over Lonestar in Group D otherwise Lonestar goes through.  Dallas Texans have won Group E.  In Group G Lower Merion Velez of Pennsylvania needs to beat Chicago Fire by at least 3 goals.  Otherwise, Sereno White wins the group.

Under 15 --
CF Monterrey has won Group A and FC Barcelona has won Group C while all other groups are still in play. Valley United Blast takes Group B unless they get blown out in their last group game.  Group D is wide open as Sockers FC, Lonestar and Tigres all could take the group.  In Group E, the Bermuda U14 National Team needs to win by at least 2 over New York Red Bull to jump over University de Monterrey.  Club Leon of Mexico controls Group F while West Coast FC, Tulsa SC and Ajax Gunners could still win Group G.

Under 14 --
Dallas sides have been dominant thus far with Solar Red, Dallas Texans and Solar all winning their groups and TFC on top in Group B.  CD Guadalajara has won Group A and Chicago Magic looks solid in Group H.    Already set is a huge rivalry game in the quarterfinals between Solar SC and Dallas Texans.

Under 13 --
Southampton of England has taken Group A and Dallas Texans Red South have won Group C.  FC Barcelona and NJSA United will fight it out on Thursday for Group F.   TSC Texans of Houston look sold in Group G. Dallas Texans are in trouble and will be eliminated if ISC Strikers of California get any result in their final group game.
