Day 1 of Dallas Cup XXIX has drawn to a close.  The big news of the day was the Andromeda upset of defending champs Sao Paolo FC of Brazil in Super Group play, but attention was already turning to the incoming weather which calls for potential tornados and up to 3 inches of rain over the next couple of days.

Super Group --
The US National Champion Andromeda 90 rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat defending champions Sao Paolo FC.  Andromeda regrouped at halftime and came out refreshed. Andromeda showed a dominance in the air and between solid service and some woeful Brazilian goalkeeping found the net 5 times in the 2nd half to win going away 5-2.  A shocking result for day 1, but a wonderful win for American soccer.
