Several important conference games were played last weekend as the Big Ten, ACC and Big East started to shake themselves out. Other major conferences such as the Pac Ten amd Conference USA were getting play started as well. Upstart Boston College continued their explosion onto the national scene with an impressive win at Duke.
ACC soccer ---
Boston College continues to be the cinderella of the league thus far pulling off an impressive 4-2 win at Duke this weekend. They sit alone atop the ACC at 4-0-0. Meanwhile, North Carolina continued their disaster of a season with a loss to Virginia. The Tar Hells sit 6th. Wake Forest earned a tough 1-1 draw at Virginia Tech while Maryland tried to get back on track with an overtime win over Clemson.

Big Ten soccer ---
Indiana reaffirmed their class handing Michigan State their first loss of the year 2-0. Northwestern moved into 2nd place with a solid 3-0 win over Wisconsin and Ohio State picked up a much needed home victory over Penn State.

Big East soccer ---
Notre Dame and Connecticut are proving to be the front runners in the Big East thus far. Notre Dame won an important conference game with West Virginia to go along with a solid midweek nonconference win over Michigan. Meanwhiel, UConn stomped Pittsburgh 4-0. St Johns earned a solid road win at Villanova while Louisville upset South Florida 1-0.
