College Soccer -- Conference play kicked off in the ACC and Big Ten with several important early season league games. Northwestern made a huge statement in the Big Ten by going to Ohio State and winning 4-0. The win vaulted Northwestern up to #4 in the Soccermogul Top 30 as The Wildcats remain undefeated. Wake Forest also remained unbeaten with a solid win at Clemson. They will keep the #1 ranking for the 3rd week in a row.
In ACC play, NC State earned a home draw with Virgnina while Maryland fell at Duke 2-1 in overtime. Boston College has made an early statement in the conference notching wins over Maryland and North Carolina. BC moves into the Soccermogul Top 30 at #21.
Elsewhere, Santa Clara had a good weekend with wins over San Jose State and UCLA. St Johns earned a pair of wins over West Virginia and Pitt.
