College Soccer - Huge games on tap as Conferences wind down

With only a couple of weeks of the college soccer season left, several major conference showdowns loom.  Teams are fighting for seeding in their conference tournaments and spots in the upcoming NCAA soccer tournament.  The following is a look at some of the major mens college soccer conference races throughout the country.

ACC soccer -
The big game of the weekend shows Maryland at home to Virginia in a game that both teams must win.  The loser gaurantees a bottom half conference finish while the winner has a chance to break into the top 4.  A disappointing North Carolina side travels to #2 Wake Forest.

Wake Forest hosting North Carolina

Big Ten soccer -
The big game of the weekend has Michigan State at home to Ohio State.  Michigan State can move into a three way tie for second with a win while Ohio State could take sole position of second with a win.

Wisconsin at home to Indiana

Pac Ten soccer -
A huge weekend and opportunity for California looms.   A pair of home wins would launch them right into the forefront of the championship race with UCLA.

Stanford at home to Oregon State
1. UCLA 2. San Diego State 3. California 4. Washington

Conference USA soccer -
SMU faces a road game at Kentucky with a red hot Tulsa team right behind them in the standings.  An SMU win will clinch the conference championship for SMU while and slipup could allow Tulsa to catch them.

Big East soccer -
Notre Dame has established itself as the class of Big East soccer this year so far.  The real fight falls after as any number of teams are fighting it out.  UConn and St Johns have solidified spots near the top as well.  St Johns travels to South Florida for a huge game.
