Everton got the dream start they were after as Louis Saha opened the scoring in the first minute, but it would be Chelsea's night as they rallied back to win the FA Cup 2-1. Saha found the net just 25 seconds into the match and sent Everton supporters into a frenzy. It was the fastest goal in FA Cup Final history.
Chelsea recovered though and were able to level the match twnety minutes later as Didier Drogba got on the end of a Malouda cross and it was all even. With the match even at 1 Chelsea just pressed on putting constant pressure on Everton into the 2nd half.
The winner came in the 71st when Frank Lampard took a pass from Nicolas Anelka and cut inside where he drilled the ball into the net from 20 yards out. The victory was a fitting going away gift for Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink who will be leaving the side.
