Changes are on the horizon at Chelsea as Deco and Ricardo Carvalho both are hinting at their retlessness as Michael Ballack has signed an extension with the club to stay on. Deco never really has settled in and made the impact at Chelsea that was hoped for. Now Deco seems to be ready to move on after only one season in the EPL. Welcome the outspoken Jose Mourinho into the fray as he jumped in stating he would love the opportunity to work with Deco again hoping to draw the Portugal international to Inter Milan.
Mourinho said "I would be very satisfied to work with Deco again. I remember the good moments we had together, the good work we did and the victories we obtained."
It also seems Ricardo Carvalho could also be on to a move as he too expressed a desire to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan. Meanwhile, German star Michael Ballack signed an extension keeping him at Stamford Bridge until June 2010.
Elsewhere around the English Premier League, Manchester United have turned their attention to Wigan striker Antonio Valencia. Wigan isn't keen on losing Valencia, but the money Man U could wave might be too much to turn down for the 23 year old.
Portsmouth's Glen Johnson seems to be heading to a bigger club as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are all circling for a swoop. Portsmouth seems resigned to lose Johnson in what could bring a fee of up to £18m.
