Two of the top college soccer conferences in the country have kicked off their conference tournaments and teams are fighting it out for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Big East has quarterfinal round set for the weekend while the Big Ten will play their semifinal round today.
Big Ten Soccer Tournament -
The semifinals are set for today in the Big Ten. Northwestern booked a spot with a solid 3-1 win over Wisconsin yesterday behind two goals from David Roth. The Wildcats face off against Ohio State in the semifinals after Ohio State downed Michigan 1-0. The other semifina will pit Indiana against Michigan State. Indiana received a bye in reward for their regular season Big Ten title while Michigan State knocked out Penn State in a penalty kick shootout.

Big East Soccer Tournament -
The quarterfinal round offers some quality matchups as the Big East Tournament starts to get serious. Notre Dame faces St Johns while U Conn faces South Florida as both national powers continue on a collision course in the Final. The question is can Notre Dame and U Conn make it? U Conn clearly has the easier path with home field advantage throughout. The other two quarterfinal matches show Louisville facing West Virginia and Depaul playing Cincinatti.
