AC Milan decided to make no new offer after MLS rejected their previous offer and gave a Friday deadline for negotiations. David Beckham will return to Los Angeles next month when his loan period ends.
Beckham had hoped for an agreement to be reached between AC Milan, MLS and the Los Galaxy that would have allowed him to remain with the Italian side once his loan period ended on March 9th. Tim Leiweke, president of Galaxy parent AEG, said AC Milan did not make a second offer to the Galaxy to keep Beckham so the team will adhere to MLS commissioner Don Garber's dealine to resolve the situation.
The Galaxy open the MLS soccer season on March 21st. David Beckham had said he wanted to stay with AC Milan in a bid to play one more World Cup with England in South Africa next year.
