The US Mens National Team scored 3 goals in the first 20 minutes and cruised over minnows Barbados. Brian Ching scored three goals, two in the final four minutes, after Clint Dempsey scored 54 seconds into the match to set the tone in the United States' 8-0 rout of Barbados on Sunday in the Americans' first qualifying game for the 2010 World Cup. Dempsey added a second half goal for the Americans, who scored three times in the first half and five times in the second. Landon Donovan scored a quick free kick as Barbados set up their wall. After going scoreless in exhibitions against three of the world's top 10 teams leading into the qualifier, the United States had three goals in the first 20 minutes against Barbados. The two teams will meet again next weekend in Barbados to wrap up the home and home total goals series. Expect the US to field a vastly different side as they will probably get some newer players a look and rest some veterans.
