AC Milan are offering £4.5m to keep David Beckham in Italy with the Serie A giants after his loan expires. As David Beckham has settled in at AC Milan reports have been more regular that he would like to stay rather than return to the LA Galaxy of MLS. Reports in England suggest that AC Milan have held talks with MLS and the Galaxy. The £4.5m figure is believed to be enough to get facilitate the permanent move.
A clause in Beckham's current contract would allow him to opt out of his MLS contract and move for free in October. MLS would be smart to accept the offer rather than let Beckham go on a free later in the year. British tabloid reports suggest wife Victoria is less keen on staying in Italy and does not want to uproot their three sons after their previous spell in a non-English speaking country with Real Madrid.
David Beckham scored his first Serie A goal last weekend at Bologna in a 4-1 AC Milan victory.
