Matchday 3 marked the midpoint of the Champions League group stages in Europe. In Group A Chelsea sits comfortably on top with 9 points. The question is who will get the second spot as Barcelona and Bremen of Germany are tied on 4. In Group B Bayern Munich sits atop with 9 points while Sporting of Portugal holds a 1 point lead over Inter of Milan. In Group C Liverpool and PSV Eindhoven are tied on 7 points and should both come out of the group as Galatasaray and Bordeaux are on 1 point. In Group D Valencia and Roma look to be comfortably ahead at the midpoint also. Lyon of France leads Group E with Real Madrid surprisingly chasing in 2nd. In Group F Manchester United sits perfectly on top with 3 wins while Celtic is in chase. Both squads look comfortable to qualify for the knockout rounds. Group G is probably the biggest surprise of all with CSKA Moscow on top of Arsenal following Moscow’s 1-0 win in Matchday 3. Finally in Group H AC Milan sits atop with Lille of France close behind. Big matches in Matchday 4 show Chelsea travelling to face Barcelona and Arsenal getting a shot at CSKA Moscow in London.
