The matchups are set and look for some great games in the 3rd round of the NCAA Womens Tournament. Texas and Connecticut play today as the game was postponed due to poor weather. Only 17 are left heading for the Womens Final Four the weekend of December 3rd.
The first two rounds produced a few upsets as Wake Forest lost to ACC rival 2-0 and Santa Clara went down to local rival Stanford 2-0. Rutgers also suffered an upset at the hands of Boston College in penalties. The ACC still has 5 teams left with Florida State, Virginia, Boston College, Clemson and North Carolina while the Big XII still has 3 in Texas, Colorado and Texas A&M.
Every matchup in the next round has excitement to offer and promises to produce more upsets and great games.
