So what have we found out thru 10 games of the English Premier League so far? Well its evident the big dogs are in the fight once again. Chelsea and Manchester United sit on top with Arsenal in chase. Arsenal definitely have work to do if they are to contend for the title, but they have definitely regained their league form after a slow start. Liverpool is in the middle of the table and we'll see if they can make a run but they can't fall any further behind and have any hopes.
On the surprise side are a few names. Portsmouth put together a fabulous run to start the season led by an airtight defense. The season gets much tougher though for Portsmouth as all the top teams remain to be played. Bolton is another side that is off to a great start sitting third with 20 points through 10 matches. Bolton has a nice 2-0 win over Liverpool, but they took a 4-0 smashing to Man U last weekend.
Of the newly promoted clubs Reading has definitely made the most noise as they look to be solid bets to remain up. An early season draw with Manchester United gave them hope and Reading has fought bravely in every match thus far. They look like they may be a middle of the table squad. Good to see Tottenham moving up the tables after such a poor start. They are unbeaten in their last 4 matches but have a tough home fixture with Chelsea this weekend. Middlesborough has also dug its way out of the bottom. They are definitely not clear yet but are looking a little better after a couple of home wins. Newcastle are floundering near the bottom and need to get their seasons rolling soon or risk being drawn into a late season relegation battle. Watford, Sheffield United and Charlton are the bottom table right now and look to stay there without a dramatic turnaround.
