BERLIN (AFP) - Bayern Munich slipped up badly when Felix Magath´s champions were held to an embarrassing goalless draw by lowly Vfl Bochum. This result coming after their 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in their opening match of 2007 left them struggling in fourth, four points off leaders Werder Bremen who can pull seven points clear with victory over against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
This was the Bavarian giant´s fourth draw of a season that has already thrown up five defeats. After failing to beat their promoted opposition in a match Magath had labelled as 'must-win´ Bayern suffered the indignity of being booed off by their fans.
Bayern could only muster one convincing attempt on goal when former Dutch international Mark van Bommel squandered his one-on-one clash with Vfl keeper Jaroslav Drobny in the 34th minute. The pressure therefore is mounting just three weeks away from Bayern Munich´s Champions League clash away to Real Madrid.
