Boston College -
No official press release from BC as of yet but they have some big shoes to fill as star Charlie Davies has signed with Hammarby in Sweden. Otherwise BC only loses 4 seniors from it’s 30 man roster. The only 2007 recruit we have seen associated with Boston College is Karl Reddick from Nether Mustangs in Pennsylvania.
Clemson -
Clemson Head Men's Soccer Coach Trevor Adair announced the signing of six players to national letters-of-intents Thursday to play soccer for the Tigers in the fall of 2007. "With several impact players that we have had to replace, many of this incoming class can make immediate contributions," said Adair "Goal scoring is an area that we have had to address and we feel very good about this. The class is well balanced with speed, size and technical ability. They will also allow us to be more flexible in our style of play. The class will be able to compete for championships during their time at Clemson and will keep the program highly competitive for years to come. During the recruitment process I have been impressed with the character of this class. This will add to the excellent team chemistry that we already have."

Maryland -
Maryland men's soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski announced the addition of six student-athletes for the 2007 season. The group includes two goalkeepers, two midfielders, a forward, and a back. The incoming class includes forward Billy Cortes (Mission Viejo, Calif.), defender Sean Flatley (Virginia Beach, Va.), keeper Thorne Holder (Trinidad & Tobago), midfielder Yannick Salmon (Westbury, N.Y.), keeper Will Swaim (Ellicott City, Md.), and midfielder Rodney Wallace (Rockville, Md.).
"They say `the reward for good work is more work' and that is certainly the case with this recruiting cycle," Cirovski said. "We had a great start to our class with some early commitments but with the recent graduation of Maurice Edu and Chris Seitz into the MLS, we were challenged to fill some more holes. I am proud to announce that we have met that challenge. This class not only fills some voids but also adds great depth to the team and I am confident that we will once again be a national contender."
"This class has a little bit of everything, but what excites me the most is the quality of their character and competitiveness and their unabashed love for Maryland soccer," Cirovski added. Cirovski will not only have the incoming freshman class in 2007, but he will also regain the services of sophomores Doug Rodkey and Kevin Tangney who both missed the entire 2006 season with injuries. Tangney played in 13 games and started two for the 2005 national championship team while Rodkey appeared in eight games.

Virginia -
Virginia head men's soccer coach George Gelnovatch has announced his 2007 men's soccer recruiting class. Gelnovatch and his coaching staff signed one of the top classes in the country including four players with experience on the U.S. Under-18 National Team. The five-member class consists of T.J. Cyrus (Virginia Beach, Va.), Colin Given (Troy, Mich.), Jason Kim (Irvine, Calif.), Danny Louisignau (Wilmington, Del.) and Jimmy Simpson (Warrenton, Va.).
"This could be one of our top classes in a while," Gelnovatch said. "We are very excited to have these players join our program. Some of them have the skills to immediately contribute. This is a class that has a significant amount of experience with our National Team and that will be a tremendous benefit for their adjustment to the highest level of collegiate play. It was a lot of work, but the arrival of these players, in addition to the players who have developed in the program, will help us make up for the losses of senior Adam Cristman as well as Nico Colaluca and Bakary Sourmare, who were all taken in the MLS Draft."

Virginia Tech -
The Virginia Tech men's soccer program has announced the signing of six newcomers to National Letters of Intent for the 2007-08 academic year. Among this year's class will be Max Allen, Clarke Bentley, Craig Burnell, Brent Hooper, Chris Kaufman and James Shupp. The new signees hail from four different states ranging from Maine to Georgia, and will join a Hokie squad that made the NCAA Tournament in 2006 for the third time in the last four seasons. Two of the recruits - Allen and Shupp - are already familiar with each other as they were teammates on the FC Delco club team.
"I am excited to have these six student-athletes commit to Virginia Tech," head coach Oliver Weiss said. “Not only are they talented soccer players from rich club and high school environments, but they are outstanding students as well. My assistant coaches have done a great job finding the right combination of player, student and super citizen for our program. This class will improve our talent level. Frankly, I think these young men will be a lot of fun to coach, and consequently, they will help us build the next plateau for our program's successes."

Wake Forest -
Wake Forest head coach Jay Vidovich has announced the signing of four players for the 2007 men's soccer season. The group is highlighted by Corben Bone, the consensus top recruit in the nation, and features two All-Americans and two regional pool players among the group. The Deacons, who lost 4 players to the recent MLS SuperDraft, replace that group with the addition of three incoming midfielders and one defender.
"I am very excited about this class," Vidovich said. "We have done our homework on these four young men and they not only are excellent soccer players, but they are also very good students and people. They will do very well here at Wake Forest. My hope for this group is that they help continue the winning tradition that we are trying to build."
